Faceless Void vs Slardar

How this matchup plays

Getting caught out by a Slardar initiation feels bad for Faceless Void. Corrosive Haze strips away his armor, making him extremely vulnerable to physical follow-up from Slardar and his team. The stun from Slithereen Crush can also be enough to prevent a quick escape with Time Walk. However, this entire threat evaporates the moment Faceless Void lands a good Chronosphere. Slardar has no inherent way to deal with being frozen in time, making him a prime target who is completely helpless if caught inside the bubble.

This dynamic creates a constant cat-and-mouse game centered on vision and initiation. Early on, Slardar can be a major threat, but once both heroes have their core items and ultimates, the fight often comes down to who jumps first. A well-positioned Faceless Void can turn a fight by catching Slardar, but a Void who gets jumped by Slardar before he can react is often a dead hero. The outcome depends less on the heroes themselves and more on which team has better positioning and gets the drop on the other.
