Faceless Void vs Treant Protector

How this matchup plays

Getting caught in a Chronosphere feels a lot less hopeless when a Treant Protector is on your team. A well-timed Living Armor on the trapped target adds a significant layer of durability, which can be enough to survive the initial burst. Treant's ultimate, Overgrowth, is also a constant threat that can root Faceless Void and his allies before he can even find a good moment to initiate. This creates a standoff where both heroes are wary of each other's fight-changing abilities.

The matchup often comes down to which hero gets the jump. A successful Chronosphere that catches Treant Protector himself effectively removes him from the fight, preventing him from saving anyone. On the other hand, if Treant finds a good position in the trees to cast Overgrowth, he can stop Void's initiation cold and set him up to be focused down.
