Faceless Void vs Undying

How this matchup plays

Picking Undying into a Faceless Void is a classic strategic call, creating a specific problem for Chronosphere. When Void traps targets, a well-placed Tombstone outside the sphere's edge will flood the area with zombies. These zombies are unaffected by the time stop and will swarm Void and his allies, often turning his own ultimate into a death trap. Furthermore, Undying himself is a terrible Chronosphere target. His high health pool, bolstered by Decay and Flesh Golem, means he can often survive the duration and turn the fight around immediately after.

The matchup becomes a game of cat-and-mouse centered on ultimate placement. Faceless Void must try to catch Undying in the Chronosphere or find an angle where a counter-Tombstone won't be effective. Undying, on the other hand, makes Void’s early game difficult and then plays teamfights reactively, waiting for the Chronosphere before committing his own ultimate. While Void's Time Walk can remove Decay stacks, giving him some resilience, the game often comes down to which hero can better dictate the terms of a single, decisive teamfight.
