Faceless Void vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Trying to bully Faceless Void out of lane with Shadow Word often feels inefficient. Void can simply Time Walk to recover the health lost from the damage-over-time, negating a lot of Warlock's pressure and making it harder to secure kills. This forces Warlock to rely more on trading auto-attacks or using Fatal Bonds, which can still be effective but aren't as straightforward. The lane becomes less about Warlock dominating with spells and more about managing cooldowns and resources on both sides.

This early resilience helps Faceless Void reach his core items more reliably. As the game goes on, the matchup shifts to teamfight execution. Warlock's entire plan is to stay positioned in the back and land a big Chaotic Offering. The Golem, especially when combined with Upheaval, can completely disrupt a Chronosphere or punish Void's team. If Faceless Void can't catch Warlock in his ultimate, the fight becomes much harder, which is why the overall advantage remains slight.
