Nature's Prophet vs Hoodwink

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock Hoodwink down with Sprout often backfires badly. It seems like a simple trap for a squishy hero, but she can use Scurry to phase right through the trees and escape unharmed. Worse for Nature's Prophet, his own Sprout trees and summoned Treants create perfect anchors for Hoodwink to land a long-duration Bushwhack stun. The very tools he uses for control become liabilities that set her up for an easy counter-kill. His kit essentially does the hard work for her, creating stun opportunities where she would otherwise need to rely on the environment.

This dynamic makes the mid-game a nightmare for Nature's Prophet. He can’t safely split push because Hoodwink can show up, ignore his primary lockdown, and burst him down. Any attempt to pressure a lane is met with the constant threat of a Sharpshooter from off-screen, which can cancel his Teleportation and often finish him off. Nature's Prophet is forced to play much more cautiously and group up, while Hoodwink has free rein to apply pressure and hunt for pickoffs across the map, completely disrupting his preferred game plan.
