Nature's Prophet vs Muerta

How this matchup plays

Trying to gank Muerta with a global teleport is a recipe for disaster. Nature's Prophet relies on physical damage from himself and his Treants, but Muerta’s ultimate, Pierce the Veil, makes her immune to all of it. A Prophet who teleports in to secure a kill often finds himself unable to deal any damage while getting burst down by her magical attacks. Even without her ultimate, her fear from The Calling can easily turn a Sprout gank around, forcing him to run as she fires back. She has all the tools to punish his aggressive, map-wide movements.

This pattern holds for the entire game. In lane, Muerta can farm safely, knowing she has an answer if Nature's Prophet tries to rotate on her. In the mid and late game, his attempts to split-push are easily stifled by her ability to quickly clear waves of Treants from a safe distance. He’s forced to play a reactive game, avoiding her entirely and hoping to catch someone else. Muerta, on the other hand, can play aggressively, knowing one of the enemy's key heroes is little more than a walking source of gold for her.
