Nature's Prophet vs Necrophos

How this matchup plays

Trying to split the map and create pressure is the core of Nature's Prophet's game, but Necrophos completely shuts that down. Necrophos wants to group with his team and fight constantly, the exact opposite of what Prophet wants to face. Heartstopper Aura makes it dangerous for Nature's Prophet to even be near a skirmish, and Death Pulse provides a steady stream of damage that clears out treants, halting pushes before they even start. A squishy, mobile hero like Prophet is the ideal target for this kind of constant, area-of-effect damage.

As Necrophos groups with his team to take towers, Nature's Prophet is put in a terrible spot. He can’t effectively defend because of the risk of being instantly deleted by Reaper's Scythe, and he can’t effectively trade objectives because his own push is constantly slowed. The sustained healing from Death Pulse makes Necrophos's team very difficult to poke out from under a tower. This leaves Prophet with no good options, forcing him to play from behind and hope to pick off isolated supports while Necrophos controls the pace of the entire game.
