Nature's Prophet vs Shadow Fiend

How this matchup plays

Sprouting a Shadow Fiend is often a waste of a spell. He can destroy the trees with Shadowraze, escaping what should be an easy kill for Nature's Prophet. This dynamic extends to everything Prophet wants to do with his summons. His army of Treants gets cleared out by the same area damage, which completely shuts down his ability to push towers or farm the jungle efficiently. Shadow Fiend invalidates Prophet's core tools with a basic, spammable ability, making it hard for NP to apply pressure or set up ganks. It’s a fundamental mismatch of kits.

Throughout the game, Nature's Prophet is forced to play away from Shadow Fiend. His usual plan of teleporting in to pick off an enemy core is unreliable when his target can't be trapped. This gives Shadow Fiend the space to farm freely and accelerate his item timings. By the mid-game, SF is often strong enough to hunt the Prophet himself, using his high burst damage from Requiem of Souls to delete the squishy hero. Prophet’s only real option is to split-push lanes SF isn't in, but he can never truly contest the game's main threat.
