Nature's Prophet vs Ogre Magi

How this matchup plays

Thinking you can just Teleport away from Ogre Magi is a common mistake. Nature's Prophet relies on that channelled escape, but Ogre is uniquely good at stopping it. A single Fireblast with a Multicast proc provides more than enough stun duration to cancel the Teleport and secure a kill. Even without the luck, the constant slow from Ignite makes kiting difficult, and Ogre is naturally tanky enough to walk through anything Prophet can throw at him to land his stuns. NP simply can't create the distance he needs to get away safely.

This forces Nature's Prophet to play an extremely cautious game. He can't apply his usual split-push pressure because Ogre Magi is one of the best heroes at responding to it with a Town Portal Scroll. A Prophet trying to Sprout himself and escape is often a free kill for a prepared Ogre. Later on, Ogre's Bloodlust on a core makes chasing NP down even more trivial. Prophet is stuck either grouping for teamfights where he's vulnerable or trying to rat with the constant fear of getting caught with no chance of escape.
