Nature's Prophet vs Pangolier

How this matchup plays

Using Sprout on a Pangolier is often a wasted spell. His Swashbuckle provides an instant dash that passes right through the treeline, completely negating Nature's Prophet's primary tool for holding a target in place. Even if Swashbuckle is on cooldown, Rolling Thunder can break the trees outright. Beyond this direct counter, Pangolier's area-of-effect damage from Shield Crash and Swashbuckle clears out treant summons very efficiently, making it hard for Nature's Prophet to build up any pushing or siege pressure against him.

This dynamic shapes the entire game. Nature's Prophet wants to use his global Teleportation to create pickoffs, but Pangolier is one of the hardest targets to catch and an easy escape makes the gank a failure. More often, the situation is reversed. Pangolier is excellent at hunting down split-pushers, using his own mobility to cross the map and collapse on a lone Nature's Prophet. Without a reliable way to stop or escape a Rolling Thunder initiation, the Prophet is forced to play much more cautiously, which fundamentally limits his impact.
