Nature's Prophet vs Primal Beast

How this matchup plays

Trying to escape a Primal Beast as Nature's Prophet is a terrible experience. The main defensive tool, Sprout, is completely nullified because Primal Beast can run right through the trees with Trample or simply charge them down. This leaves Prophet with no way to kite or create space once he's being run at. Once Primal Beast gets on top of him, the lockdown from Pulverize is more than enough to secure a kill on such a fragile hero who has no built-in spells to survive the initial assault.

This pressure is constant throughout the game. Nature's Prophet wants to teleport around the map to farm and push lanes, but Primal Beast is excellent at punishing that playstyle. He can show up and hunt Prophet down in the jungle or side lanes with very little warning. Later on, Prophet becomes a primary target in teamfights, with Primal Beast having a clear path to charge the backline. Prophet's best hope is to play far away from the action and contribute with his global ultimate, but it's hard to have an impact when you're being hunted so effectively.
