Nature's Prophet vs Pudge

How this matchup plays

Trying to split-push a lane feels incredibly dangerous against a Pudge. Nature's Prophet relies on being hard to catch, using Sprout to trap enemies or Teleportation to escape. Pudge’s kit directly counters this. Meat Hook can pull Prophet out of his own Sprout or cancel his Teleport from a huge distance. If Pudge gets close, Dismember provides a long, reliable lockdown that ensures Nature's Prophet can't simply warp away to safety. Prophet's main defensive tools are completely nullified by Pudge's primary abilities.

This dynamic forces Nature's Prophet to play in a way that undermines his own game plan. Instead of applying pressure across the map, he has to constantly worry about being picked off. A missing Pudge means every patch of trees is a potential death trap. Prophet can try to compensate with vision or defensive items, but this slows down his impact and forces him to group up. Pudge, on the other hand, gets to do exactly what he wants: roam the map, find isolated targets, and create openings for his team.
