Nature's Prophet vs Clockwerk

How this matchup plays

Trying to split push against Clockwerk is a nightmare for Nature's Prophet. His entire game plan of creating map pressure with Teleportation is directly punished by Hookshot, which can find him from a screen away. Once caught, Power Cogs provides a near-perfect prison, trapping Prophet and preventing him from escaping. His own defensive spell, Sprout, is a poor answer, as Clockwerk can easily fire his Hookshot out of it to re-engage or find a new target. Clockwerk has all the tools needed to find and lock down an otherwise slippery hero.

This dynamic forces Nature's Prophet to play in a way that undermines his strengths. He can't safely pressure lanes past the river, turning his global presence into a liability. Instead of dictating the pace of the game by forcing reactions, he's forced to group with his team, where he is much less effective. Clockwerk can confidently hunt across the map, knowing his initiation almost guarantees a kill on Prophet. It’s little wonder they often struggle together on the same team; Clockwerk wants to start a fight here, while Prophet wants to be everywhere else.
