Nature's Prophet vs Slark

How this matchup plays

Trying to split the map as Nature's Prophet is a death sentence against a Slark. Prophet relies on Teleportation to outmaneuver opponents and farm aggressively, but this makes him an isolated and predictable target. Slark is built to punish exactly that. Pounce closes the distance instantly and leashes Prophet, preventing him from teleporting to safety. Sprout is also a non-issue, as Slark can leap out of the trees with ease. With Shadow Dance, Slark can relentlessly hunt Prophet across the entire map, turning Prophet's greatest strength into his biggest weakness.

This dynamic dictates the pace of the whole game. Once Slark gets his core items, Nature's Prophet can no longer safely push out lanes or apply pressure. Every attempt to do so risks feeding Slark another kill and permanent agility from Essence Shift, accelerating his snowball. Prophet is forced to play much more defensively, grouping with his team and forfeiting the map control he's meant to create. To have a chance, Prophet’s team must win early fights decisively, while Slark’s entire game plan can revolve around finding and killing the Prophet over and over.
