Nature's Prophet vs Viper

How this matchup plays

Getting caught out by a Viper is a death sentence for Nature's Prophet. His entire game plan relies on being slippery and using Teleport to escape bad situations or join good ones. Viper's kit shuts this down completely. The constant damage from Poison Attack will always interrupt a Teleport channel, and Viper Strike makes running away impossible by crippling Prophet's movement speed. With no natural way to dispel these effects, Prophet becomes incredibly vulnerable once Viper commits his ultimate. He's a fragile hero who relies on mobility, and Viper takes that mobility away with ease.

This dynamic makes split-pushing, Nature's Prophet's main strength, extremely risky. Viper can hunt him in the side lanes and secure easy kills, slowing down his farm and map pressure. In teamfights, Prophet can't simply teleport to a vulnerable backline target if Viper is there to immediately lock him down. Prophet's best play is to avoid Viper at all costs, pushing the lane opposite from him and forcing rotations from other heroes. If Viper shows up, Prophet has to leave immediately or risk getting picked off before a fight even starts.
