Nature's Prophet vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Teamfights get ugly for Nature's Prophet once Warlock gets a few levels. Fatal Bonds spreads across all his Treants, melting them and reflecting a ton of damage back onto Prophet himself. If he tries to split push instead, Warlock’s Chaotic Offering provides a huge initiation to win the resulting four-versus-five fight. The Golem then helps take objectives, directly countering the pressure Prophet creates. Upheaval also makes it very difficult for him to escape with Teleportation if he gets caught out of position by the slow.

This dynamic forces Nature's Prophet to play cautiously all game. He can't use his summons to pressure lanes or farm as effectively, as they become a liability. His best bet is to avoid Warlock entirely and focus on ganking isolated targets. Warlock, on the other hand, is free to group up and force objectives. He can use his spells to punish Prophet for either showing up to a fight or for trying to split the map, leaving NP with very few good options as the game progresses.
