Nature's Prophet vs Weaver

How this matchup plays

Catching an enemy with Sprout often feels like a guaranteed kill, but Weaver has a simple answer. He can activate Shukuchi to phase right through the trees, completely ignoring Nature’s Prophet’s primary lockdown spell. This forces the Prophet to rely on more expensive items to get a hold of Weaver. Even if Nature's Prophet manages to land a silence or a hex, Time Lapse provides a powerful dispel and escape, often undoing the entire gank attempt and leaving the Prophet with his spells on cooldown.

This interaction defines how the two heroes play around each other on the map. Nature's Prophet typically wants to split push and force reactions, but this predictable pattern makes him an easy target for a roaming Weaver. Using Shukuchi to close the distance, Weaver can find and threaten the Prophet before he has a chance to teleport to safety. As a result, Nature's Prophet must play less aggressively and stay closer to his team for protection, which limits his global impact and allows Weaver more freedom to farm and fight.
