Grimstroke vs Snapfire

How this matchup plays

Trying to channel Mortimer Kisses in front of a Grimstroke seems like a bad idea, but it's not always a guaranteed shutdown. While Phantom's Embrace can interrupt the channel, a well-positioned Snapfire can start her ultimate from far outside Grimstroke's effective range, forcing him to commit heavily to stop it. The same tension exists with Grimstroke's own ultimate. A good Soulbind can lock down Snapfire and her laning partner, but a quick Firesnap Cookie can force one of them out of the leash's radius, completely negating the spell.

Throughout the game, the matchup revolves around this constant back-and-forth of initiation and escape. The lane often comes down to who can land their spells more consistently for harass. Later on, teamfights depend on positioning. If Grimstroke can find Snapfire as she's setting up, he can neutralize her biggest teamfight contribution. If Snapfire sees the Ink Swell coming, however, she can use her Cookie to save herself or an ally from the stun and turn the fight around. Neither hero has a reliable upper hand.
