Grimstroke vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Trying to isolate a hero for a quick burst with Avalanche and Toss is Tiny's entire game plan. Grimstroke's Soulbind makes that impossible. The ultimate prevents Tiny from ever getting a true one-on-one pickoff, as the tethered ally is always nearby to help. Even if Tiny commits and gets the Toss, he now finds himself stuck in melee range of two heroes instead of one, with his main combo on cooldown. Furthermore, Phantom's Embrace can be cast on Tiny the moment he initiates, silencing him before he can follow up with Avalanche and leaving him completely exposed.

This interaction puts a huge damper on Tiny's ability to create pressure and snowball. His mid-game ganks become incredibly risky, as a target protected by Grimstroke can easily turn the fight around. In larger teamfights, Tiny loses his identity as a backline assassin. He can't simply blink in and delete a support because Soulbind provides too much protection and sets up an easy counter-attack. Tiny is forced to play much more cautiously, waiting out Grimstroke's key spells, which gives the enemy team all the space they need to take control of the fight.
