Hoodwink vs Keeper of the Light

How this matchup plays

Seeing Keeper of the Light on the enemy team makes picking Hoodwink a bit tougher. Keeper of the Light’s Illuminate is a perfect tool for clearing waves from a safe distance, which often forces Hoodwink to play defensively under her tower and away from the trees she needs for Scurry. This also makes it dangerous for her to set up a Bushwhack from the fog, as Illuminate can reveal her position. Even if Hoodwink finds a good opening for Sharpshooter, a well-timed Blinding Light can easily push her out of position, breaking the channel and saving the target.

Throughout the game, this dynamic forces the Hoodwink player to be more opportunistic. Laning becomes about survival rather than aggression, and in teamfights, she has to wait for a clearer opening instead of initiating. A successful Hoodwink will focus on catching Keeper of the Light himself when he's isolated or channeling. For the KotL player, the key is staying back and using his spells to control space and disrupt Hoodwink’s attempts to get her combo off. It puts the onus on Hoodwink to solve the problem he creates.
