Hoodwink vs Legion Commander

How this matchup plays

Catching Hoodwink with Duel completely shuts down her entire escape plan. Scurry's bonus movement speed and tree-phasing do nothing once the challenge is issued, leaving her locked in place with no way to kite or reposition. Legion Commander can even use Press the Attack to shrug off the slow from Acorn Shot, making it impossible for Hoodwink to create any distance before the Blink-Duel initiation. Bushwhack’s stun offers a potential out, but it’s often too slow to land before Legion Commander has already committed.

This dynamic makes Hoodwink a priority target for Legion Commander throughout the game. Once LC has her key items, she will actively hunt the squirrel for easy Duel damage, forcing Hoodwink to play from extreme range and avoid ever showing alone on the map. Hoodwink’s best hope is to stay far behind her team, providing control and damage from the backline, and hope her teammates can peel or save her. Legion Commander’s game plan, meanwhile, often revolves around finding these pickoffs to scale, and Hoodwink is one of the most reliable sources for that damage.
