Hoodwink vs Marci

How this matchup plays

Picking one of these heroes into the other often comes down to which player gets the first move. Marci excels at closing distance with Rebound and committing to a kill, but Hoodwink’s entire design is based on kiting and controlling space from a distance. Using Scurry near trees allows Hoodwink to constantly break line of sight and reposition, making it very difficult for Marci to stick to her target. A well-placed Bushwhack can also stop an initiation cold, but Marci can often bait out these defensive abilities before fully committing with her own spells.

This standoff continues through most of the game. Fights between Hoodwink and Marci are decided by vision and positioning more than anything else. If Marci catches Hoodwink in the open, she has a good chance to bring her down with Unleash before she can escape. But if Hoodwink is playing from the treeline, she can safely chip away with Acorn Shot and look for an opportunity to land Sharpshooter. The outcome of their duels usually depends less on the heroes themselves and more on which team provides better setup or vision control.
