Hoodwink vs Omniknight

How this matchup plays

Trying to burst down a target near Omniknight often feels like a trap. Hoodwink's entire combo, from landing a Bushwhack stun to channeling a full Sharpshooter, takes time. That gives Omniknight a window to react with Heavenly Grace, dispelling the stun and saving his ally while the Sharpshooter shot goes to waste. Even if the damage lands, Purification provides a strong heal that can absorb a huge portion of Hoodwink's burst. Omniknight’s kit is fundamentally about negating the kind of single-target pickoff potential that Hoodwink relies on to be effective.

This dynamic forces Hoodwink to change her whole approach to fights. Instead of looking for a clean kill on a support or core, she has to play around Omniknight’s saves. This might mean baiting out his abilities on a less important hero or trying to find a target isolated from the team. While her Scurry allows her to stay safe and reposition, her overall impact is often blunted. She can’t easily secure the decisive kills her team needs, which gives Omniknight's team an advantage in drawn-out engagements where his sustain shines.
