Jakiro vs Legion Commander

How this matchup plays

Finding an isolated, slow hero is how Legion Commander builds a lead, and Jakiro is a perfect target. Her game revolves around closing the distance and winning Duels for permanent damage. Jakiro has almost no way to stop this. Ice Path has too long of a delay to catch a Blink initiation, and the movement slow from his other spells is instantly dispelled by Press the Attack. He becomes an easy source of Duel damage, letting Legion Commander snowball and control the tempo of the entire game.

This dynamic forces Jakiro to play from behind for most of the match. He can’t safely push towers with Liquid Fire or even show on a lane once Legion Commander gets her core items. His team has to constantly worry about her hunting him down. To survive, Jakiro needs to buy defensive items like a Force Staff or Ghost Scepter early, which takes away from his own impact. He is often stuck hiding in the back of fights, hoping to get his spells off before he gets caught, but this gives Legion Commander's team free rein of the map.
