Jakiro vs Leshrac

How this matchup plays

Thinking Jakiro's Ice Path and Dual Breath will shut down Leshrac is a common mistake. Leshrac often builds items to help him survive the initial burst of control, and his own damage doesn't stop while he's disabled. Once he's free, he can turn and run at his attacker. Jakiro has long cast times and a slow turn rate, which means once Leshrac gets close, he's a very easy target. Both heroes offer area-of-effect magic damage, but Leshrac's version is mobile and aggressive, letting him dictate the engagement against Jakiro's more static, telegraphed spells.

This dynamic becomes clearer after the laning phase. In a teamfight, if Jakiro's team can't immediately kill Leshrac during an Ice Path, the situation reverses. Leshrac can activate Pulse Nova and simply run down the much slower Jakiro, who lacks any kind of escape. To win the exchange, Jakiro needs to play from maximum range and hope his team provides a strong frontline. Leshrac, on the other hand, can often single-handedly punish a slightly misplaced Jakiro, giving him a small but consistent advantage in a direct confrontation.
