How this matchup plays

Controlling Shadow Fiend is often a matter of timing. Jakiro has the tools to make his life difficult, with slows and stuns that can disrupt Requiem of Souls or set up a gank. However, a good Shadow Fiend player can often farm from a safe distance with Shadowraze, avoiding the worst of the harassment. Jakiro himself is slow and has no escape, making him a prime target if Shadow Fiend gets a lead and can initiate on him. The matchup hinges on whether Jakiro can apply enough pressure early to slow down Shadow Fiend's farm, or if SF can accelerate past Jakiro’s control spells and become a major threat.

This dynamic creates a battle of tempo. The Jakiro player wants to group with their team to push towers and force fights in tight spaces where Macropyre and Ice Path shine.
