Jakiro vs Primal Beast

How this matchup plays

Trying to lock down Primal Beast with spells can be a frustrating experience. Jakiro wants to layer his abilities to control a fight, but Primal Beast can often activate Trample and run straight through the initial slow from Dual Breath. This mobility makes landing a follow-up Ice Path much harder. If Primal Beast does manage to close the distance, Jakiro is an easy target for Pulverize and has no reliable way to escape. He's a slow hero without a built-in escape, making him a prime target once the Beast gets going.

Throughout the game, this dynamic forces Jakiro to play with more caution. He has to use his spells defensively, dropping an Ice Path to stop a charge or using Macropyre to create a zone that Primal Beast has to path around. The matchup often comes down to positioning and who gets the jump. A patient Primal Beast will wait for an opening to charge and isolate Jakiro from his team, while a smart Jakiro will use vision and positioning to land his spells before the Beast can react.
