Jakiro vs Ringmaster

How this matchup plays

Deciding how to control a fight is the core of this matchup. Jakiro's entire game plan relies on enemies being stuck in place for his Ice Path and Macropyre. He creates zones of layered damage and stuns that need time to work. Ringmaster directly interferes with this. His hypnotic pull can drag heroes out of Jakiro's fire, or even pull Jakiro himself out of a safe casting position. This fundamental conflict in controlling enemy movement is why they also tend to work poorly on the same team; they are both trying to dictate positioning, but in opposing ways.

During the laning stage, this means Jakiro's slow spells are easy for an elusive Ringmaster to dodge. In later teamfights, Jakiro is forced to hold his ultimate, waiting to see where Ringmaster moves the fight. A well-timed pull can completely waste a Macropyre. To succeed, the Jakiro player has to play with exceptional patience, either baiting out Ringmaster's key abilities or focusing him down first. Ringmaster, on the other hand, can play his normal game, saving his disruption specifically for Jakiro's big, telegraphed moments.
