Keeper of the Light vs Pudge

How this matchup plays

Landing a perfect hook on a priority target is often a guaranteed kill, but that changes when Keeper of the Light is on the other team. His Blinding Light provides an instant pushback, capable of shoving Pudge away before he can use Dismember or creating enough space for the hooked ally to escape. This single ability forces Pudge to be much more careful about his own position after landing a hook. On the other hand, Keeper of the Light is a slow, fragile hero himself. If he mispositions for even a moment, he becomes an easy and rewarding target.

This matchup boils down to a constant positioning battle. KOTL wants to play from the back, using Illuminate to clear waves safely and his ultimate to grant vision that spots Pudge's rotations. Pudge, in turn, is always hunting for that one mistake, knowing a successful hook on the Keeper is usually fatal. Fights are often decided by which hero gets the jump. If Pudge lands a clean initiation and KOTL isn't ready with a save, the fight can be over. If KOTL predicts the play or reacts in time, Pudge's entire gank can be nullified.
