How this matchup plays

Trying to fight Mirana as a melee hero can feel like walking through mud. Kez is built to duel a single target, but Mirana has multiple ways to keep him at a distance. If Kez commits to a fight, she can Leap away to create space. His parry and counter-attack tools are also less effective here; they work best against telegraphed physical attacks, not a long-duration stun from Sacred Arrow or the magic burst from Starstorm. The fundamental clash is that Kez wants a fair one-on-one, and Mirana's kit is designed to prevent that from ever happening.

This dynamic defines the entire match. Mirana can pressure Kez from the first wave with her attack range, making his laning phase difficult. As the game progresses, Kez looks for opportunities to split the map and farm, but Moonlight Shadow turns the entire map into a potential trap. He can't safely be alone, which slows down his item progression significantly. Kez is forced to play defensively and react to ganks, while Mirana’s team gets to control the pace of the game, choosing when and where to initiate fights.
