How this matchup plays

Drafting Kez into a Night Stalker often forces your entire team to play a different game. The core of the problem is that Night Stalker’s silence from Crippling Fear prevents Kez from swapping stances or using his parry, turning him into a simple right-clicker at the worst possible moment. Night Stalker also gets to dictate the engagement. His superior night vision means he almost always sees Kez first, letting him get the jump and ensuring Kez can’t set up the kind of duel he’s built for.

This dynamic really starts to hurt after the first laning stage. Once night falls, Kez can’t safely split the map or farm aggressively, because Night Stalker can be anywhere and will usually win the initial exchange. In teamfights, Kez is constantly on the back foot, waiting for Night Stalker to charge him. This forces Kez to build defensively or rely heavily on his supports for saves, delaying the items he needs to be a carry. Night Stalker consistently puts Kez in a position where he can't execute his own game plan.
