Kez vs Pudge

How this matchup plays

Getting caught by a Meat Hook is rough for any hero, but for Kez it often means he can't play his game. His entire kit revolves around outplaying opponents with well-timed stance swaps and parries. Pudge bypasses all of that. A successful hook into Dismember provides a long, uninteractive lockdown that Kez has no innate way to counter. It completely neutralizes his identity as a duelist, holding him still so allies can pile on before he can react.

This dynamic forces Kez to play with extreme caution. He wants to be aggressive and find duels, but a hidden Pudge can punish any overextension. For the matchup to work, Kez has to wait for Pudge to reveal himself and use his spells, or rely heavily on teammates for saves and vision control. The matchup can swing if Kez gets the jump or successfully dodges the initial hook, since he can tear through Pudge's health pool once he closes the distance. This dependency on who gets the drop on whom keeps things from being too one-sided.
