Kez vs Silencer

How this matchup plays

Swapping stances to adapt in a fight is core to Kez's identity, but doing so against Silencer becomes a mistake. Arcane Curse heavily punishes Kez for using any of his abilities, extending its duration and piling on damage every time he tries to parry or switch weapons. This puts him in a bind: he can't use his tools to fight effectively, but not using them makes him a sitting duck. Last Word adds another layer of disruption, silencing him right as he tries to execute a combo and leaving him exposed.

The pressure starts in the laning phase, where Kez struggles to trade and secure farm under constant threat of these spells. Later on, his role as a duelist is completely shut down by Global Silence. A silenced Kez can't jump onto a backline target or use his defensive tools to survive, making him a non-factor in critical teamfights. Kez is forced to itemize for a very early Black King Bar, delaying his core damage items, while Silencer can play his game normally, confident that his spells will always find their mark.
