Kez vs Snapfire

How this matchup plays

Trying to fight Snapfire as a melee hero is a miserable experience, and Kez is a prime example of why. His entire game plan relies on closing the gap to duel a target, but every part of Snapfire’s kit is designed to prevent that. A well-timed Firesnap Cookie can save whoever Kez jumps on, forcing him to start over. Even if he connects, the slow from Lil' Shredder makes it impossible to stick to a target. Kez wants a one-on-one fight, but Snapfire excels at controlling space and keeping enemies at arm's length, making his parry-focused kit feel clumsy and ineffective against her.

The matchup feels difficult from the very beginning. Kez will struggle to secure farm in lane against Snapfire's constant ranged harassment and slows. Later in the game, his pickoff attempts are easily spoiled by her saves. During big teamfights, Kez can't ignore the threat of Mortimer Kisses, which zones him out and denies him access to the back line. He needs to execute a perfect flank to be useful, whereas Snapfire can simply stand back and use her spells reactively to shut him down whenever he tries to commit to a fight.
