Kez vs Techies

How this matchup plays

Trying to force a duel as Kez exposes him to everything that makes Techies effective. As a melee carry, Kez needs to get close to do his job, but Techies turns the ground against him. Proximity Mines make farming lanes and jungle incredibly dangerous, punishing the rotations Kez needs to make to get ahead. Even in a direct fight, Reactive Tazer can disarm Kez at the crucial moment he commits, leaving him helpless. Kez's stance-swapping and parry tools are meant for controlled one-on-one fights, not for navigating an area filled with invisible explosives and area-denial spells.

This advantage for Techies starts in the lane and only grows. Kez will struggle to secure farm against the constant pressure of Sticky Bombs. Later on, his ability to split-push or hunt for solo kills is severely limited by the map control Techies establishes. Teamfights become a nightmare for Kez, as he has to either wait for his team to clear mines or risk running through them to reach a target. Kez's best bet is to build for magic immunity and try to burst a key target quickly, while Techies wins by dragging things out and making every inch of the map a costly battle.
