Kunkka vs Silencer

How this matchup plays

Casting Kunkka's full combo becomes a serious liability against Silencer. Each spell in the sequence, from X Marks the Spot to Torrent and Ghostship, triggers another stack and duration refresh of Arcane Curse. This constant punishment drains Kunkka’s resources during trades and makes his own aggression costly. He's a hero who relies on a sequence of abilities to be effective, and Silencer's kit is designed to make that pattern painful. This pressure starts in lane and continues through the entire game, forcing Kunkka to think twice before committing to his spell rotation.

Later on, the threat shifts to Global Silence. Kunkka’s plan often revolves around setting up a guaranteed kill with X Marks the Spot, but Silencer can instantly negate that entire setup from anywhere on the map, allowing the marked target to escape the combo. Kunkka’s counter-play is to either wait out the Global cooldown or rush a Black King Bar to ensure his combo lands. However, this forces him to adapt his item timings and playstyle. The matchup tilts slightly toward Silencer because he disrupts Kunkka's core game plan so directly, but Kunkka can still win a fight by bursting Silencer before he can react.
