Kunkka vs Undying

How this matchup plays

Clearing out Tombstone zombies with Tidebringer often feels like a losing battle. Kunkka can certainly kill the zombies, but the Tombstone itself keeps spawning more while Undying is busy draining his strength with Decay. This makes a strength hero like Kunkka surprisingly fragile, and the zombies’ constant slows make it hard to even walk up and hit the Tombstone. With so many units around, Undying’s Soul Rip gets stronger too, making it harder to finish off low-health targets. Kunkka’s main clearing spell isn't enough to solve the root of the problem before he gets overwhelmed.

This pressure starts right from the laning phase, where Undying makes it dangerous for Kunkka to approach the creeps. Later in teamfights, Kunkka’s ship and combo rely on clean setups, but Undying’s whole game plan is to create chaos. Tombstone fills the fight with bodies that block movement and spells, while a Flesh Golem makes Undying himself too durable to burst down. Instead of initiating and controlling the fight, Kunkka is forced to react, trying to survive the swarm rather than landing his own decisive spells.
