Controlling the map against a Weaver becomes a little more straightforward with a Kunkka on the opposing team. The dynamic really hinges on X Marks the Spot, which directly counters Weaver's primary escape tools. Shukuchi and Time Lapse are normally enough to get Weaver out of almost any bad spot, but X guarantees he can be pulled back for a follow-up stun. Kunkka's ability to constantly shove lanes with Tidebringer also applies pressure, limiting the safe areas where Weaver can farm and forcing him into less favorable positions on the map.

As the game progresses, Kunkka represents a constant pick-off threat that Weaver has to respect. The Weaver is forced to play more cautiously, knowing that getting caught by the X-combo likely means death without team support.
