How this matchup plays

Catching Leshrac with Duel is a simple and effective plan. He's a fragile hero who wants to stay on the move, dealing damage with his spells from a safe distance. Duel locks him in place and forces him into a right-click fight he can't win, especially since he can't use a Ghost Scepter to save himself. Before the fight even starts, Legion Commander can use Press the Attack to shrug off the slow from Lightning Storm, making it much easier for her to close the gap and land a successful initiation.

This forces Leshrac to play a much more careful game. He has to rely on his team for saves and position himself perfectly to avoid getting jumped. If Legion Commander is forced to Duel a tankier hero instead, Leshrac is free to activate Pulse Nova and melt everyone during the lockdown. The matchup often comes down to Legion Commander’s target selection versus Leshrac’s awareness and positioning, giving her a small but consistent opportunity to take over the game.
