Legion Commander vs Nyx Assassin

How this matchup plays

Dueling a lone Nyx Assassin looks like an easy kill, but it’s often a terrible mistake. Spiked Carapace can completely turn the fight, stunning Legion Commander and reflecting her own damage back. While Press the Attack can purge the Mana Burn, it won't stop the stun. This gives Nyx's team time to collapse and kill a locked-down Legion. On the other hand, if Nyx Assassin is caught without Carapace ready, or if Legion holds Duel until it's baited out, he's an extremely fragile target. The entire interaction hinges on who uses their key defensive spell first.

The matchup becomes a game of information and cooldowns. Legion Commander has to try and force out Spiked Carapace with Overwhelming Odds or an ally's help before committing to a Duel. Nyx Assassin needs to stay off the map and look for moments when Legion has overextended or used her spells on someone else. A Black King Bar for Legion Commander makes her much safer, but until she has it, every Duel attempt against a team with Nyx is a calculated risk. It's a true stalemate where one small mistake decides the fight.
