How this matchup plays

Picking these heroes against each other creates a tense game of cat and mouse, where both sides have the tools to ruin the other's plan. Legion Commander's entire game revolves around successfully landing Duel. Omniknight, however, is built to stop exactly that kind of single-target physical burst. Heavenly Grace can be cast on a dueled ally to reduce the disable's duration and help them survive, while Guardian Angel can make them completely immune to the physical damage from Legion Commander and her team, often wasting the cooldown entirely.

The result is a mind game centered on positioning and timing. A smart Legion Commander will often try to jump on Omniknight himself, dueling him first to prevent him from saving anyone. In response, a good Omniknight player will stay far back in fights, out of initiation range, waiting for the Duel to happen so he can cast his spells. Success for either hero depends on who baits out the other's key abilities first or who gets caught out of position, making the outcome of any given fight very unpredictable.
