Legion Commander vs Pangolier

How this matchup plays

Playing against Legion Commander forces Pangolier to completely change his approach. His entire identity is built on being a slippery, disruptive hero using Swashbuckle to reposition and Rolling Thunder to cause chaos. Duel, however, bypasses all of it. The spell locks him down through magic immunity and forces him into a static man-to-man fight that he's not equipped to win. Pangolier wants to dance around the edges of a brawl, but Legion Commander's ultimate pins him in place and makes his defensive tools feel useless.

This dynamic makes Pangolier a primary target for the whole game. Once Legion Commander gets her Blink Dagger, she'll actively hunt for him because he's a reliable source of Duel damage. The Pangolier player is forced to play with extreme caution, often waiting for Duel to be used on a teammate before he can commit to a fight with Rolling Thunder. His team needs to have saves ready at all times, as he has no way to escape the duel on his own. It creates a constant pressure that severely limits Pangolier's ability to make plays.
