Legion Commander vs Puck

How this matchup plays

Catching Puck is the whole challenge, and Legion Commander’s Duel makes it simple. Once Duel is active, Puck’s usual escapes like Phase Shift and Illusory Orb are disabled. Before the fight even starts, Puck’s main defensive tool is the silence from Waning Rift, but Legion Commander can instantly remove it with Press the Attack. That same ability also provides a huge amount of health regeneration, making it very difficult for Puck to win a direct trade or burst her down before she can find an opening for her ultimate.

This dynamic forces the Puck player onto the back foot for the entire mid-game. Legion Commander will typically get a Blink Dagger and then hunt for easy Duel targets, and a fragile Puck is at the top of the list. Building up damage this way lets LC snowball and control the map. Puck's main counterplay is to buy defensive items like a Linken's Sphere, which slows down their own impact, or to play so far back in fights that they can't contribute effectively. It’s a constant threat that severely restricts how Puck can play the game.
