Legion Commander vs Pudge

How this matchup plays

Trying to get a successful Duel off can be frustrating when a Pudge is on the other team. His Meat Hook is the perfect tool to pull an ally out of a Duel, completely turning your initiation around and leaving you exposed. This forces Legion Commander to reconsider her targets. However, Pudge himself makes for a tempting target. His large health pool means he can't burst you down, and if you have Blade Mail, his Dismember becomes a huge liability for him, often doing more damage to himself than to you.

The game often becomes a contest of vision and positioning. Pudge will try to disrupt Legion Commander's early game, ganking her lane to slow down her Blink Dagger timing. Later on, teamfights are decided by who gets caught first. A Legion Commander who can find a Duel on a key target when Pudge is out of position can secure a fight victory. But if Pudge lands a good Hook or gets a Dismember off before you can act, your whole plan falls apart. It’s a matchup that relies heavily on execution from both sides.
