Legion Commander vs Ringmaster

How this matchup plays

Winning a Duel against Ringmaster's team often comes down to timing and target choice. Ringmaster can use his traps and hypnotic abilities to disrupt Legion Commander and protect her target. However, Press the Attack can dispel some of these control effects, allowing her to finish the job. More importantly, Ringmaster himself is often the perfect target for a Duel. He isn't very durable and lacks a good escape once he's caught, making him an easy source of damage for Legion Commander if she can get the jump on him.

This creates a tempo game where Legion Commander is constantly applying pressure. A successful start for her makes it very difficult for Ringmaster to establish map control or set up his ideal teamfight combos. If LC gets ahead, she can simply run past his traps and force fights. Ringmaster's best play is to stick close to his allies and use his crowd control defensively to turn a Duel attempt into a trap. The dynamic favors Legion Commander slightly because she gets to dictate the terms of these crucial engagements.
