Legion Commander vs Slardar

How this matchup plays

Getting stunned by Slardar's Slithereen Crush usually means you're locked down and finished off. Against Legion Commander, that's not always the case. She can instantly cleanse the stun for herself or an ally with Press the Attack, completely ruining his initiation. This forces Slardar to second-guess his primary job of jumping in and setting up a kill. Instead of a guaranteed lockdown, his Blink-Crush combo can become a liability, giving Legion Commander the perfect opening to turn the fight with a Duel on an out-of-position target.

This dynamic makes teamfights tricky for Slardar. His whole game plan revolves around that reliable initiation, and Legion Commander messes with it. He will try to play around this by applying Corrosive Haze before committing, as the armor reduction is still a huge problem for LC if she gets caught in a Duel. Legion Commander's goal becomes catching Slardar with a Blink Dagger before he can apply his ultimate. It becomes a game of who initiates first, but the ability to negate his stun gives her a small but meaningful advantage in these engagements.
