Legion Commander vs Techies

How this matchup plays

Trying to find a clean Duel against a good Techies is a constant headache. You’re always paranoid that the spot you want to initiate on is covered in Proximity Mines, which can instantly turn a guaranteed kill into a lost Duel and a death. This forces Legion Commander to play with far more caution. On the other hand, Techies has very few tools to escape once caught. If Legion Commander can find him out of position, away from his mine stacks, he's one of the easiest Duel targets in the game. The whole interaction boils down to whether Legion finds Techies, or finds his mines first.

This matchup evolves into a battle over map control and information. Techies wants to establish minefields around objectives and his own towers, creating safe zones for his team and no-go areas for Legion. To counter this, Legion Commander needs her team's help to secure vision with sentries or a Gem of True Sight, clearing a path for her to hunt. A successful Legion will play with her team to de-mine and then find an opening, while a successful Techies makes key parts of the map too dangerous for Legion to even consider playing in.
