Legion Commander vs Tiny

How this matchup plays

Trying to land the Avalanche-Toss combo on Legion Commander often backfires. Her Press the Attack provides a strong dispel, which can remove the stun from Avalanche and give her an immediate window to counter with Duel. Since Tiny is a melee hero who has to get close for his combo, he ends up in the perfect spot to be challenged. Even if Tiny connects, Legion Commander can often survive the initial burst, and a well-timed Blade Mail during Duel will reflect his own damage back at him. Overwhelming Odds also finds extra value against Tiny, who frequently groups with his team.

Early in the game, Tiny can be a threat with his burst damage, but the dynamic shifts dramatically once Legion Commander gets her core items. She can start actively hunting him, as Tiny has no innate escape ability to get out of a Duel. This forces his team to babysit him with saves, or he has to play so passively that he can't make his usual initiations. He becomes a liability, a walking damage bonus for Legion Commander, which limits his impact on the map and makes it difficult for him to control the game's pace.
