Legion Commander vs Undying

How this matchup plays

Getting your Decay stacks dispelled over and over is a frustrating experience. Legion Commander's Press the Attack is a direct answer to Undying's primary form of harassment and attrition. It removes the slow and, more importantly, the strength drain that Undying relies on to win trades and survive fights. Without those stacks sticking, Undying loses a lot of his ability to soften up targets. Legion Commander can also use Overwhelming Odds to clear out Tombstone zombies with reasonable speed, especially when a creep wave is present, weakening Undying’s biggest teamfight contribution.

This dynamic means Legion Commander often gets to dictate the terms of engagement. In the laning stage, she can sustain through Undying’s pressure. Later on, Undying himself becomes a prime Duel target. He's a durable hero who doesn't deal much right-click damage, making him a relatively safe opponent for Legion Commander to challenge and start building her bonus damage. Undying’s best play is to stay grouped with his team and use Tombstone from a safe position, hoping his allies can peel for a Dueled target or burst Legion Commander before the duel is won.
