Legion Commander vs Warlock

How this matchup plays

Trying to control Legion Commander with Warlock's spells is a losing battle. Press the Attack provides an instant dispel, nullifying the slow from Upheaval and the damage-over-time from Shadow Word. More importantly, it removes Fatal Bonds, gutting Warlock's main source of teamfight damage if Legion Commander is the one getting focused. This ability to shrug off Warlock's entire non-ultimate kit leaves him almost defenseless. Legion Commander can simply walk past his spells to reach her intended target, which is often the Warlock himself.

This dynamic makes Warlock a prime target all game. He’s a slow, fragile hero who provides easy Duel damage and whose death removes a major teamfight ultimate from the board. Warlock is forced to play from the shadows, relying entirely on his teammates for protection and vision. Even a well-placed Chaotic Offering might not be enough. If Warlock reveals himself to cast it, a prepared Legion Commander can often survive the initial stun and immediately turn the fight by eliminating him before the Golem becomes a serious threat.
